Services
Services are designed to provide robust technical decision support with clear assumptions, reproducible calculations and traceable documentation. Engagements can be short expert interventions or longer projects with iterative deliveries and quality assurance.
Assignments do not include energy production.
Technical domains
- Thermal and fluid systems: heat exchangers, condensers, pumps, valves and piping – pressure losses, flow distribution, transients, operating cases and disturbances.
- Mechanical components & systems: interfaces, load cases, functional requirements, tolerances/assumptions, and inputs for sizing and robustness assessments.
- Electrical power, drives & auxiliaries: motors, power supply, load cases, auxiliary power systems and functional dependencies.
- Control & automation: control functions, logic, interlocks, setpoints, limits, and coupling to operator interfaces (HMI).
- Drawings & visualisation: system sketches, flow diagrams, block diagrams, model overviews, and 3D material (e.g., FreeCAD) for reporting, communication and competence support.
Tools
Calculations and analyses can be performed using established commercial tools (the customer provides licenses when commercial tools are required) as well as open-source alternatives where appropriate. Delivery formats are adapted to the customer's environment and requirements.
Model-based analysis & modelling
Modelling of dynamic systems, transient analysis, parameter studies and scenario analysis. Focus on understanding, comparison of alternatives and traceable results.
- Baseline and reference cases
- Sensitivity analysis and parameter studies
- Impact assessments for changes
Safety & risk analysis
Risk assessment and technical decision support with clear assumptions and documented evidence. Work can include barrier thinking, error sources, robustness assessment and review-ready documentation.
- Traceable scope and assumptions
- Consistency checks and sensitivity
- Inputs for review and decision-making
Technical calculations
Design calculations and engineering analysis to support design, modifications or verification.
- Load cases and functional requirements
- Consistency checks and control points
- Report and appendices tailored for review
Automation
Automation of analysis workflows to reduce manual work and improve reproducibility: data processing, batch runs, result aggregation and reporting support.
- Scripts/notebooks and run instructions
- Structured file handling and version identifiers
- Templates for tables/figures
When is this a good fit?
- When decisions require explicit assumptions and traceable evidence
- When a system behaves unexpectedly and root-cause analysis is needed
- When changes require impact and robustness assessments
- When quality assurance and reproducible calculations are central
Typical inputs
- System/process description and objective/question
- Drawings, flow diagrams, block diagrams, or similar
- Data: measurements, design values, tolerances, load cases
- Desired delivery format and timeline
Typical applications
- Impact assessment for changes
- Robustness assessment and sensitivity analysis
- Technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Method development and quality assurance of calculation workflows
What to expect in a delivery
- Clear scope and documented assumptions
- Results with consistency checks and traceable inputs
- Report + appendices (tables/figures) tailored for review
- Version identifier and change log for iterative deliveries
Delivery formats
- Report (PDF/DOCX) with appendices
- Tables/figures (Excel/CSV) when needed
- Reproducible calculation package (scripts/notebooks) when relevant
- Presentation (PowerPoint) for decision meetings when needed
